Since installing it, I haven't had a single spam comment. Instead of trying to maintain blacklists, it changes the name of the comments file so that the spambots can't find it. Dunno if MT already has something like this, but I think it's genius. You guys need Mudbomb’s Spam Stopper (http://mudbomb.com/archives/2004/11/05/spam-stopper-hack-for-wordpress/). In fact the only blocking it was doing was of a regular legitimate commenter who just had a sucky ISP. I now have it set to moderate but I've yet to have any spam that falls foul of it. Would be cool to have it use the other blocklists too though - nice suggestion!
