		<description>Thanks, Brett. I think there is a couple of things about import-b2.php that need fixing. I went through it the other night and found it does almost all the work, correctly. It is the changing the table prefix thing that I was curious about. It should all be less painful, in any case.</description>

		<description>Hi, A few months ago i converted my old b2 blog to wordpress, and i think i can answer your question about why you have to follow the steps as opposed to the prescribed upgrade or import procedure. The reason is that frankly the prescribed b2 import scripts that come with wordpress are useless. I had no end of trouble with it and never did get it to work.
I ended up finding some perl script that did it and used the queries out of it to manually extract the data and import it into wordpress - painful? yes, but there wasnt any other option.
Its good to see that there now seems to be a set of steps that work. :)</description>
