		<description>Hi!
thanks for the mention... hope this can be of some use to people out there...

I should add that you are perfectly right regarding the fact it's not a plugin (nor a hack), but I did say so in the first place, if you read my entry ;)

My using the word plugin at all was only motivated by the fact that I can imagine a lot of people searching for a way to moblog on their WP install by googling for "wp mail plugin" rather than "wp mail script"... mostly a matter of sacrificing technical accuracy for easiness...

BTW, the wp-mail plugin is a really useful one and major reason I chose not to use it was because I needed real-time update (I would recommend it to anybody who doesn't want to go through the lengths of setting their mail server to use a script and do not need wp-keitaimail extra features), BUT the way it handles non-image attachments is a &lt;b&gt;major&lt;/b&gt; security issue. there is no security check for who is sending the email (it is ridiculously easy to forge an email address) and letting people potentially upload *php* files on your webserver is nothing short of suicidal... I wrote a note to the author and hopes he fixes that quickly.

cheers,</description>
